You will design behavioral experiments, build formal reasoning tools, and analyze what happens when conviction overrides calculation. The methods are rigorous. The questions are anything but settled.

You might be right for this if

  • You have deep experience in game theory, behavioral science, or computational social science
  • You write code as part of your research practice, not as an afterthought
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and research that does not fit existing paradigms

The Work

The spine of this lab is formal: argumentation frameworks, including the incomplete ones where the missing information is the point. The edge is everything carrying a measurement and no clean mathematics yet. An experiment with its data collected and its analysis unwritten. A tagging schema over mythological corpora that is still a scaffold. A signal that has to survive being real and noisy. You would live on the edge.

You might be right for this if

  • You have a PhD, or you have nothing of the sort and can do the work anyway. We read the working, not the credential.
  • You see numbers in things nobody handed to you as numbers, and you can say which of those patterns survived a test
  • You are willing to kill a result the rest of us were enjoying
  • You can hold a proof and a story about a god in the same hour without deciding which is the unserious half

Said plainly, because most job posts would not. If you feel guided by numbers, we will not laugh at that and we will not nod along either. The rule here is that a belief earns seriousness by taking a formal shape that can be tested and can lose. Bring the intuition. Expect to formalize it.
